Unique Colombia S.A.S. is a legally registrated business with registration number Nit #90463801-4 and the Colombian National Tourism Registration No 25776. We declare that we work as a travel agency and eco hotel with all the activities and offers published on https://www.uniquecolombia.co and www.lajorara.com providing and fulfilling efficiently and truthfully these services: experiences or tours, lodging, food, guiding, as well as all the operation and logistics within the quality standards required by law and established by Unique Colombia S.A.S.

Unique Colombia SAS acts as an intermediary of the provided services and all clients must claim directly to the companies that provide the service and follow their “Terms and Conditions” which depend on the civil, commercial and other laws.  All travelers have to bring their personal identification. Unique Colombia S.A.S. does not take any responsibility about information, application or negation for visas.

By booking one of our tour packages or experiences, the client declares that he has read and approved our terms and conditions.  Any person who does not agree with our terms and conditions has to refrain from using the services provided by Unique Colombia S.A.S.

Payments and reservations  

The reservation can be done 30 days prior with a deposit of 30% of the whole amount of the experience, service or accommodation. The balance of 70% can be paid during the following days up to a maximum period of 15 days in advance of the tour. If the time making the reservation is less than 30 days before the completion of the tour, the client has to make a payment of 100% to guarantee the reservation and the provision of the service. In cases a tour or accommodation is booked within 5 days before the tour, the client must wait for the confirmation from the company and has to pay the full amount of 100%.

The company will send the documents of confirmation and guarantee, receipts or invoices with the respective links to make payments through the payment system established by the company. Prices quoted are subject to change without notice, due to a change in the cost of any item or changes in the exchange rate.

Cancellations

If the client or someone associated with the reservation decides to cancel their trip, they must notify us with the decision as soon as possible. Any notice of cancellation given by telephone must also be confirmed in writing or by e-mail within the next 24 hours and must be made by the person who made the reservation. The cancellation will take effect from the day we are informed after receiving the written cancellation. We will send you a confirmation of the cancellation, if for any reason you do not receive it, please notify us as soon as possible to prevent any increase in cancellation costs.

When making a reservation cancellation, the following cancellation penalties will apply:

  • 40 + days: No penalty – Total return of money (minus financial costs per transaction)
  • 15-39 days: Penalty of 30%, we will keep the deposit
  • 0-14 days: No refund

We are not responsible for any extra expenses due to travel delays, flight cancellations or illnesses. Our cancellation policies are flexible and comprehensive and each case is studied in depth. No refund will be made when the client arrives late or stops using the booked service earlier. It is important that you know that the travel expenses can also be canceled by Unique Colombia S.A.S in advance of the start of the trip.

In case of personal and family problems or accidents which make it impossible for you to use the service, we unfortunately cannot give you a refund. Therefore Unique Colombia SAS advises its clients to purchase Travel Cancellation Insurance to protect their bookings, which also includes loss of luggage and medical coverage and evacuation in emergency situations.

Responsibilities

Unique Colombia S.A.S acts only as an intermediary or representative for the passenger in relation to the trip, whether by land, train, boat, plane, helicopter or on horseback; and is therefore not responsible for injuries, damages, loss, delay, or irregularity that may be caused either by reason of defect in any vehicle, or for any other reason, or for any mistakes made by fincas, hotels, transport companies, boats, restaurants, other companies or persons included in the journey, or any other circumstances beyond the direct control us and them.

Unique Colombia SAS and / or its agents are not responsible for additional losses or expenses incurred by the client due to delay or changes in flight schedule, theft, lost (or damaged) luggage, or any other item that belongs to the passenger; Illness, personal health, climate, strikes, fires, explosions, earthquakes, floods, epidemics, road conditions, river levels, transportation delays, wars, accidents, luck, acts of God, force major, or any other cause. All such losses and expenses must be covered by the passenger.  Many of the activities included in the tours are not suitable for people with severe health or physical disability, who are unable to walk properly. It is the responsibility of the passenger to judge what is appropriate in these travel activities, according to their physical abilities. Each passenger has to judge the level of difficulty of each type of activity themself.

Unique Colombia S.A.S requires participants to have adequate life, accident, or medical insurance. Unique Colombia S.A.S requests that participants who plan to drive a motor vehicle from abroad, obtain insurance against shocks and damages to third parties in Colombia.

Unique Colombia S.A.S recommends that all participants insure their personal property against loss and theft. Unique Colombia S.A.S is not responsible for any cost or loss resulting from such events. Limitations of personal and commercial use. You cannot make any kind of speculative, false or fraudulent reservations. You as a client are supposed to be of sufficient legal age to use this medium and accept legal and financial obligations. You agree that you are aware of all liabilities arising from the use of the services of Unique Colombia S.A.S Travel Agency and tourism caused by you or by third parties.

The information, products and other services published on this website may contain inaccuracies and typographical errors. Unique Colombia S.A.S, its suppliers and collaborators periodically update the information. As a condition of using this website and the services, you prove that you are not part of any illegal activity or anything that might violate our terms and conditions.

Unique Colombia S.A.S is not responsible for the consequences of: war, strikes, robberies, epidemics, quarantine time, or misfortune and other circumstances beyond our control while the passenger enjoys the services of our company. Unique Colombia S.A.S reserves the right to modify the itinerary and / or individual reservation, and reservations in hotels if necessary for the safety of passengers and the smooth operation of the trip due to unexpected circumstances.

Unique Colombia S.A.S acts only as agent for the owners and operators of accommodation in farms, apartments, hotels, transport companies, attractions and other providers of operation of tourist services.

Privacy  

The agency Unique Colombia SAS, undertakes to maintain the privacy and confidentiality of the information of the clients, all the information will be stored in a safe way, likewise, it will not be shared or published to third parties. Only in case of requirements by the government and those imposed by the justice system, the information might be delivered to the police. We reserve the right to use electronic mail for communication, information, news, special events and commercial activities.

Changes of itinerary

We hope and will do our best to fulfill all the services that we have confirmed at the time of booking. We plan the logistics of each trip well in advance with a base of independent suppliers such as fincas, apartments, hotels, transport companies, etc. Over which we have no direct control. On some occasions some changes will have to be made and we reserve the right to make them. Many of these changes are minor, however if we consider them SIGNIFICANT CHANGES we will do our best to let you know as soon as possible.In case of a SIGNIFICANT CHANGE before your trip, we will give you three alternatives to choose from:

  • (A) an alternative trip of similar price and quality if available.
  • (B) an alternative trip of a lower price together with a refund for the difference; or
  • (C) cancellation of the trip with a full refund of the amount paid.

Changes for circumstances out of our power  We will not be liable to pay any penalty or compensation if we have to cancel or change in any way a trip due to unusual or unexpected reasons that are beyond our control and in which the consequences could not have been prevented. These reasons include technical problems with transportation, changes due to delays or cancellations of flights, aircraft changes in any flight, wars or civil conflicts, industrial disputes, natural disasters, bad weather, epidemics or terrorist acts.

What happens if we change the accommodation option on your trip?

We do not control the day to day business of the hotels with which we work and in some exceptional cases we might be informed that the hotel is overbooked. If this happens, either before the trip or on arrival at the hotel, we will do everything in our power to provide an accommodation of at least the same quality and in a similar location. If only a lower level accommodation can be obtained, we will reimburse the difference between the original accommodation and the accommodation that was used.

What happens if we cancel your trip?  We keep the right to cancel your trip in case of any circumstance. If we have to cancel your trip you have three options: (A) an alternative trip of similar price and quality if available.(B) an alternative trip of a lower price together with a refund for the difference; or(C) cancellation of the trip with a full refund of the amount paid.
Insurance It is important that you purchase insurance that meets the needs of each traveler.

For all those who practice activities or sports on a tour which is not organized by us, it will be in your responsibility.  Accommodation  In many apartments, hotels, especially near the beach, insects in the rooms (e.g. mosquitoes or cockroaches) are almost impossible to prevent. Under no circumstances should this be regarded as a sign of dirt, but as a normal occurrence in the destinations visited. The view from the rooms of certain hotels may be obstructed by branches and leaves that can grow very fast in tropical vegetation.

What happens when I receive my reservation?

Before starting your trip you will receive by e-mail the document that you will have to print and present at the hotels and other contracted service providers for your trip.
